If you are considering using Coppermine to display your photography put your seat belt on. Because, if you need support for this software, you are in for a ride. First let me say this. Coppermine is a very good program written under General Public License (GPL) Standards. Which means it is free as is. This program, once the bugs are removed will probably serve your purpose. But the support is down right disgusting. It is run by children without any clue to what respect is, or communicating with novices. If you make a mistake posting a message on the board gaugau the lead developer will chastise you in public forum to the point of being insulting. Forget about sending a private message to someone. It will be taken completely out of context and you will be flogged. Aside from two of their contributing support people Casper and Stramm, the support personnel are arrogant, short sighted, half witted and have a Hitler driven mentality. The lead developer is gaugau a child who throws fits when things don't go his way. He obviously never had a position of leadership. His hat size is larger than his waist. He isn't fit to manage a public toilet, let alone a support board. The rest are nothing more than kids with child like behavior with adult toys. If you are very good at coding php then go for it, but take my advice and stay away from the coppermine support forum. It's not worth the grief. You can probably find a freelancer somewhere who be willing to help you. I will not be using this software anytime soon. I guess that's the price you pay for GPL software. Good luck.
