News Syndication

This site provides a news syndication service to other websites. You are able to include the headlines from this site on your own site free of charge.

In order to do this, you simply need to add some basic code to your site where you would like the syndicated news to appear. This is achieved by copying the code given and pasting it into your webpage.

Choose the code type that suits your page and follow the directions given below.

Step 1: Create the newsfeed reader -

First we need to create the newsreader. Regardless of your page type, do this by copying the code below and pasting it into a blank file and then save that file as newsreader.php. Once saved, upload the file to your server.

Step 2: Show the headlines on your page -

For PHP pages. Copy the code below and paste it into your page where you want the headlines to appear. Don't forget to change the iframe source url to your site.

For HTML pages. Copy the code below and paste it into your page where you want the headlines to appear. Don't forget to change the iframe source url to your site.

Step 3: Test for correct operation -

Now test for correct operation by visiting your page. You should now see the headlines scrolling upwards.

NOTE* If you run a Clever Copy powered site simply delete the file newsreader.php in your news directory and replace it with the newsreader.php code above and then enable the Syndicated News block via your admin panel, (be aware that you will have to delete the newsreader.php file and re-upload the above version rather than editing the newsreader.php file!)
