CBO Suggests Troops Paid Too Much. A recent report by Congressional Budget Office says that growth in Military compensation has exceeded private-sector wages by more than 25 percent over the last ten years. With the threat of $500 billion in mandated defense cuts required by sequestration and the end of the Bush-era tax cuts, some members of Congress and Washington "think tanks" are asking if we pay our Service Members too much. The CBO suggests that the DoD could save money by reducing the rate of basic pay raises along with asking Service Members and retirees to pay more for TRICARE benefits and to contribute monetarily to retirement.

Here we go again. Remember Carter, Clinton? You get the Government you Vote for.
